By proper timing of the fertilizer you are better able to match fertilizer needs with the crop potential due to crop conditions and available moisture. The SpikeWheel technology decreases the chances of the fertilizer escaping either through volatilization, water run-off or leaching, which can occur with a split application. Since this proven method is one that causes a minimal amount of disturbance to the crop versus what would be caused by a colter injector, knife injector or surface banding, an increase in yield is seen over these traditional application methods.

General information
In row crops with wide row spacing large application rates, above 40 gallons per acre, are easily chieved by placing a SpikeWheel™ on each side of the row in the growing crop. This concept is demonstrated here by applying fertilizer to Lima Bean fields in Eastern Oregon.
Custom applicators available.
Low disturbance application to both sides of plant.
In the root zone.
No root pruning.
Side dress when the plant needs it.
Application of products next to growing nursery stock.
Can be built with 1 or 2 SpikeWheels per side depending on the application volumes.
Low disturbance and minimizing root damage.
Vineyard applicator designed for wide rows.
Attaches to the 3-point for convenient use.
Adapts to customer designed applicator.
Our LiquiJect product is ideal for turf applications. Given the technology to inject liquids in a sub surface location below the thatch and into the soil, the strength and durability of the SpikeWheel™ makes this type of application possible. This injection process increases the usability of liquid products such as soil surfactants, wetting agents, insecticides, pesticides and nematicides that in turn decreases the likelihood for loss of these products. By using the SpikeWheel™ and placing these liquid products into the soil it allows for the systemic action of the plant to utilize the product and eliminate the problem. When liquid products are used in a surface application these products are often times tied up in the thatch decreasing their effectiveness. Visit www.liquiject.com for more information.
